  VENTAN RPS is phenolic replacement syntan for use in leather industry.
  CHARACTERISTICS:
 
Appearance : Light brown coloured powder
% moisture content : 5.0 max.
Solubility : Freely soluble in water.
pH of 10% solution : 3.0 - 4.0
% Acidity : 5.0 max.
  SPECIAL FEATURES:
 
  • It is a phenolic general-purpose syntan for retanning of all types of leathers.
  • Its use in retanning gives fuller leather and is suitable for retannage of light coloured leathers.
  • It has self-tanning properties and can partly replace vegetable tanning agents during tanning.
  • It exhibits reasonably good light fastness.
  APPLICATION:
 
The recommended dosage is 5 - 6 %, on shaved wt., for cow upper leathers.
The recommended dosage is 2 - 3% in vegetable tanning.
The recommended dosage is 4 - 6 %, on shaved wt., for corrected grain leathers.
The recommended dosage is 4 - 6 %, on shaved wt., for suede & nubuck leathers.
The recommended dosage is 2 - 8 %, on shaved wt., for pastel coloured leathers.
  STORAGE STABILITY:
  More than one year if stored properly at ambient temperature in supplied packing.
