VENTAN VEF is a filler syntan based on animal proteins for use in leather industry.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Appearance
: Dark brown coloured, clear to slightly hazy liquid
pH
: 7.0 - 8.0
Solid content
: 45 - 47%
Solubility
: Miscible with water
SPECIAL FEATURES:
It fills the loose areas of hides and skins and upgrades the quality of leather.
It increases grain tightness and softness of leather. Also promotes level dyeing.
It is taken up relatively rapidly by leather from bath. The best results are obtained at float pH above 4.5. By lowering the pH it fixes into leather.
It can not be used for white or pale coloured leathers as it gives dull shade to crust.
APPLICATION:
Recommended dosage for retanning of shoe upper, garment leather, sheep suede and nubuck leather is 3 - 5 % on shaved wt.
STORAGE STABILITY:
More than one year if stored properly at ambient temperature in supplied packing.
