Leather chemicals are used for finishing of crust leather to produce final leather suitable for end use to make various articles like shoes, jackets, furniture, sports goods etc.
Leather chemicals used for finishing chemicals provide the crust leather with protective coating and also add aesthetic look to the leather. These chemicals cover natural defects in the leather and make leather surface smooth and even and also make leather weather resistant,wear & tear resistant and durable.
Venus produces following leather chemicals, also referred to as Finishing Chemicals for leather industry :
Binders : These are leather chemicals used alongwith pigments onto the leather surface for protective coating and coluration of leather.
Venus offers following leather chemicals for use as Binders :
Venres Binder 10 : It is a soft binder which produces clear, elastic film
with low tackiness. It can be used in base coat formulations of leather finishing chemical and also in top coats.
Venres Binder 20 : It is a medium soft binder which produces clear,
elastic film with low tackiness. It can be used in base coat formulations of leather finishing chemical and also in top coats.
Venres Binder 76 : It is an impregnation binder with very fine particle
size, almost like a microemulsion. It produces very soft, elastic & tacky film. It penetrates well into leather due to its particle size.
Lacquers : Lacquers are leather chemicals used on top of the binder for
gloss and smooth handle of finished leather. They also provide
protective coating on to leather surface and enhance
appearance of leather.
Venus produces following lacquers :
Venolac LMF : It is nitrocellulose based lacquer emulsion which produces
good gloss on to the leather surface. Its film exhibits
excellent rubfastness properties.
Venolac WS : It is nitrocellulose based clear lacquer which is both water
and solvent dilutable. It is suitable for producing protective
and glossy surface on resin finished leather.
Wax Emulsions : Wax emulsions are leather chemicals used for
modifying the feel / touch of the leather to smooth and warm feel. They also help in reducing tack on the leather surface for plate release properties.
Venus produces following Wax Emulsions :
Venwax S : It is synthetic & soft wax emulsion. It can be used in base
coat formulations and also as top coat to improve feel of the
leather to silky & supple. It is useful in producing top quality
garment and upholstery leathers.
Venwax H : It is hard wax emulsion and based on natural waxes. Its use in
finishing helps in improving plate release properties. It
produces polishable leather surface when used in finishing of
leather.
