Soap stick bases are surfactant formulations used to produce solid sticks dropped downhole for foaming, lubrication, and cleaning in oil and gas production—particularly in gas lift and deliquification applications where liquid loading limits well productivity.

In gas wells that load with water, soap sticks dissolve gradually to generate foam that lightens the fluid column—helping lift liquids to surface and restore gas flow. Stick melt rate and surfactant activity are balanced for bottomhole temperature and water chemistry.
